Thanks for a Great 2011 Tournament
A rainy day on the golf course beats a sunny day in the office any day! This was the theme of Friday's 9th annual Michael Wilbon/James Brown Celebrity Golf Tournament benefiting the DC College Access Program (DC-CAP) held at Lansdowne Golf Resort. Despite the on and off rain, leaders of the DC business community joined celebs such as Alonzo Mourning, Dan and Bob Ferry, Sam Jones, Doc Rivers and about 20 others to play in the annual tourney, one of the biggest fundraisers for DC-CAP. Since it's inception about 12 years ago DC-CAP has helped double the number of DC public and public charter school students go to college and tripled the number who graduate. Organizers were willing to start the post play party early but the golfers stuck it out to the end...all for a good cause!
