About the Event

Michael Wilbon and James Brown Celebrity Golf Classic will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Lansdowne Resort in Lansdowne, VA.

Celebrities will tee off with area companies on the new Norman course at Lansdowne Golf Club. Format is "Captains Choice" with each team consisting of three players and a celebrity.

The golf tournament will raise funds for the DC College Access Program (DC-CAP), a privately funded non-profit that supports DC public high school students and college students who might otherwise not have the opportunity to receive a college education. DC-CAP provides mentoring, counseling, academic advising, and financial assistance to these deserving students.

Today, DC-CAP is working with 14,000 DC public high school students and approximately 5,300 college students helping them to realize their college and life goals. Your volunteering to help at this tournament is important and contributes to making college more accessible to DC public school high school students.
